| Keith Elliott and I met at Kiddie Beach this morning to see there were more seals on the beach and additional signs were up between the kayak sign and the knee wall. We saw there was a spit of sand at Hobie Beach so we decided to launch from there. (See picture.) It was a warm calm sunny day that offered a pleasant smooth paddle to the Mandalay Resort and back. The drawback was that it looked like we were always paddling in red tide. As we were cleaning up, we met a paddler on Hobie Beach, Tom, who was paddling a loaned kayak, and invited him to join us on our paddles Very nice day to be on the water! That is the way it was this Friday, the 8th of September. |
